A personal stylist on call, not on a waitlist...
InstaStylin came to us wanting to make professional styling feel instant. Getting dressed for an interview, standing in a fitting room, or trying to pick between two outfits before dinner are the moments when expert advice matters most. They are also the moments when it is hardest to get. Traditional personal styling runs on consultations, packages, and calendars booked weeks ahead. By the time the appointment comes around, the decision has already been made. Styling has always been sold as a luxury retainer: high touch, high commitment, high price. That works for a small group of clients and shuts out everyone else who just needs a trained eye for ten minutes. The stylists lose out too. Many talented independents have no simple way to sell short sessions, set their own hours, or turn spare time into income without building their own booking and payment setup. We looked at both sides of the market. On the client side we studied on-demand service apps, telehealth video flows, and expert marketplaces. On the stylist side we studied creator payout tools and freelancer scheduling platforms. The insight was that InstaStylin is not a booking app with video added on. It is built around a single moment, the decision happening right now. Clients need fast access to the right person, and stylists need full control over their time, pricing, and earnings. One product had to serve that moment well from both sides.

/Projects Goals/
The engagement covered the full marketplace: a native iOS app and a native Android app that serve both clients and stylists, plus a web admin dashboard where the InstaStylin team manages stylists, bookings, payouts, and the health of the platform. Our first directive was to make discovery feel like browsing a lookbook, not searching a directory. Clients see featured stylists, browse by category and specialty, and can check profiles, ratings, pricing, and live availability before they commit. The aesthetic follows the brand: editorial black and white, generous imagery, and a calm, high-end feel that says fashion rather than utility. Second, we cut booking and connecting down to the fewest steps we could. The core experience is a three-step flow: Discover, Book, Get styled. Clients pick a stylist, a session length, and a time, then join a live virtual call straight from My Bookings. In-app chat with image sharing lets clients send outfits and product links before or after a session, so the advice keeps going after the call ends. Upcoming, past, and cancelled bookings all live in one place, along with favorites and a clear cancellation policy. Third, we treated the stylist side as a business tool, not an afterthought. Stylists set their own availability with a simple toggle, decide their session options and pricing, manage incoming bookings, and follow their revenue, payment activity, and referrals from a dedicated earnings dashboard. On the back end, the admin platform gives the InstaStylin team what they need to run a trusted marketplace: stylist onboarding and moderation, the ability to ban or remove a stylist, booking oversight, location management, and revenue analytics.

/Results/
InstaStylin launched on the App Store and Google Play with the full client, stylist, and admin system in place. Along the way we worked through App Store review, cleared every rejection, and shipped the app on both platforms. The bigger outcome is positional. InstaStylin now owns a clear spot in the market: live, on-demand personal styling priced per session instead of per retainer. Every new stylist added to the marketplace grows supply, the earnings tools give independents a reason to stay and promote their profiles, and the admin platform is ready for what comes next, including new specialties, more markets, and longer session formats.
